The State of Qatar is a peninsula situated in the western coast of the Arabian Gulf.  It borders with Saudi Arabia in the South and South West and on the waters of the Arabian Gulf on all other sides. 

About 80% of the country’s population (907,000 approx) lives in Doha,the capital of Qatar that is situated in the east coast of the Qatar peninsula. Doha this is also the seat of government and of all the main commercial and financial institutions.

Oil and natural gas revenues enable Qatar to have one of the highest per capita incomes in the world
